Mike Myers makes Comedy Store cameo

The Hollywood star dropped in as a guest with the Comedy Store Players improv troupe, to the delight of the crowd.

He was one of the founding members of the group in 1985, and was once in a double act with Comedy Store regular Neil Mullarkey, who was also on the bill last night.

Even comic Josie Lawrence was amazed to be on stage with the Wayne’s World star, tweeting: ‘I was in the last gas station before the desert with the fab Mike Myers tonight and it was wonderful. I love my Comedy Store Player pals. x.’

Fellow Player Phelim McDermott added: ‘Fantastic fun playing with Mike Myers tonight at the Store!’

And audience members were even more impressed.

Simon Marriott tweeted: ‘Loved tonight's #comedystoreplayers best show ever especially with Mike Myers guest appearance!’

James Marsh said: ‘The founder of a mental institution came back to examine his flock. Great night with #comedystoreplayers and Mike Myers. Cheers Neil.’

Earlier in the weekend, Ontario-born Mike Myers was at the Canada Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square.
