Eddie Izzard gets a small role
Eddie Izzard is set to play a dwarf in a new take on the Snow White legend.
In Snow White and the Huntsman, the princess escapes her evil stepmother with the help of a huntsman who ordered to kill her, her but instead trains her to survive and fight back.
The new film, to be directed by first-timer Rupert Sanders, does away with the familiar Disney dwarf names – with Izzard lined up to play Tiberius, described as the biggest and burliest of the crew.
The Hollywood Reporter also reveals that Ian McShane has been cast as the dwarf leader Caesar, Bob Hoskins as Constantine, a blind dwarf, and Toby Jones – the voice of Dobby in Harry Potter – as a timid dwarf named Claudius
Kristen Stewart plays Snow White; Charlize Theron the evil stepmother and Thor actor Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman.
The film is scheduled to open next June.
