Cleese to write his memoirs

...but he needs help remembering

John Cleese is to write his memoirs.

The comic is currently touring a show of anecdotes about his time on Monty Python and Fawlty Towers to help pay his $20million divorce settlement.

And now he says he is going to tell his life story in print – but admits he needs an official biographer to help as his memory is too patchy.

In an unusual move, the comedian will writer alternate pages with the hired writer.

He told The Sun: ‘I don't think anybody's ever done one like this. I'd been putting it off - partly because I was too busy, and also because it was too difficult trying to remember things.’
