Threesome shoots this summer

Comedy Central has commissioned its first ever sitcom.

Threesome, written is a seven-part, half-hour comedy about three close friends who have a ménage a trois after a wild night out which results in an unplanned pregnancy. They then decide to raise the child as a trio.

The show has been written by Tom MacRae, who created by Sky One’s Mile High and has previously written for Doctor Who. And the three friends will be played by Amy Huberman, known in Ireland for her role on RTE’s The Clinic,  Emun Elliott, who appeared in BBC Three’s Lip Service, and Stephen Wight, last seen alongside Alan Davies in the BBC Two comedy Whites.

Comedy Central’s Pete Thornton said: ‘This new commission represents a big step forward for the channel, and we're very excited to be setting out on this journey.

A pilot episode was filmed in February, and now the full series will be shot this summer ready for an autumn broadcast.
