30 Rock to end

...or is it?

30 Rock will end next series, star Alec Baldwin has said.

All the cast's contracts expire after the sixth series, and Baldwin, 53, said that would spell the end of the show.

He told entertainment website Vulture: ‘I will tell you one thing. And that is our show next year is our last year of the show.

‘Our contracts are expired in 2012, and Tina [Fey] is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She'll be great.’

However, a contrary report on Deadline Hollywood suggests Baldwin was merely speculating, as there have been no discussions between NBC and the 30 Rock's producers about ending the show.

Baldwin has previously said he personally would quit the show in 2012. He said: ‘I would rather go do other things and have whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have more of a normal life.’
