Cameo in Steve Carell's swansong

Catherine Tate is to make an appearance in Steve Carell’s last ever episode of The Office.

She joins a star-studded cast of cameos, that also includes Ricky Gervais, reprising David Brent, and Will Arnett.

And it was also reported today that Ray Romano and James Spader will guest star in the series seven finale on NBC.

It is expected that most of the guest stars will play characters being interviewed for the office manager position that Carell’s Michael Scott will be vacating.

Other names to have been in the frame in the past for the central role have included Flight Of The Conchords actor Rhys Darby.
