Matilda heads to the West End
Tim Minchin’s version of Matilda is transferring to London’s West End in the autumn 2011.
The venue for the Royal Shakespeare Company production has not yet been named, but it has been given an open-ended run.
Minchin collaborated with playwright Dennis Kelly for the musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel, which attracted plaudits when it ran in Stratford before Christmas. Click here for Chortle’s review.
Tickets for the West End run will go on sale in May, when casting details will also be announced.
