Kilkenny fest launches talent hunt

Kilkenny’s Cat Laughs comedy festival has launched a hunt for next comedy talent to perform at this year’s event.

Craic Attack will comprise a series of heats across Ireland, with the eventual winner claiming a cash prize and a spot at the June festival. Organisers couldn’t yet say the value of the cash prize.

Entrants need to be amateur performers with five to seven minutes of original material, and stand-up, sketch and musical acts are all encouraged.

The final will be in Dublin on May 25 – just over a week before the Kilkenny festival kicks off.
