Radio 7's new stand-up series... set on a boat

Radio 7 has commissioned a new stand-up series, recorded at a London club.

Two episodes of The Boat Show have already been taped at the The Tattershall Castle, a paddle steamer permanently moored on the Thames opposite the London Eye

Comics to have taken part so far include Abandoman, Jason Cook, Terry Alderton, Charlie Baker and Tom Binns.

The show has been commissioned by Radio 7’s head of programmes, Mary Kalemkerian, who has been a regular at the club for several years.

Promoter Christian Knowles said: ‘We put out heart and soul into putting on comedy here, and this is a fantastic coup for us.’

The series, which will be broadcast later this year and has been, has been produced by Laughing Stock Productions, best known for their comedy CDs, in association with Knowles’s company CKP.
