John Bishop's still there...

Holding on to DVD No1 slot

John Bishop has made it a fourth week at the top of the stand-up DVD chart.

He has also remained at No 8 in the chart of all DVD titles, including film and TV releases, ensuring his position as the top comic this Christmas.

Billy Connolly has also had a good week, rising from No 4 to No 2 in the stand-up chart, and also rising eight places in the overall chart.

Frankie Boyle has continued to sell well despite – or perhaps because of – the furore over his joke about Katie Price’s disabled son. Three of the top five stand-up titles, listed below, are from Scottish comedians.

  1. (1) John Bishop: Elvis Has Left The Building
  2. (4) Billy Connolly: Live In London 2010
  3. (3) Frankie Boyle: If I Could Reach Out Through Your TV and Strangle You I Would
  4. (2) Kevin Bridges: The Story So Far Live
  5. (Re-entry) Michael McIntyre: The Stand Up Collection

Last week’s positions are in brackets.

Meanwhile, Michael McIntyre’s memoirs are still No 2 in the hardback bestseller book behind A Simples Life, the spoof autobiography of meerkat advertising mascot.
