With stand-up and music guests

Rhod Gilbert is to front his own Radio 2 stand-up and music show.

The hour-long shows will feature regular contributions from Sarah Millican, Lloyd Langford and Greg Davies plus a guest stand-up every week. Mark Watson, Jon Richardson and Russell Kane are among those lined up to appear.

There will also be live music from hit bands including Divine Comedy, Scouting for Girls and Athlete.

Eight shows are being recorded in front of a studio audience this July.

It is not Gilbert’s first link with Radio 2, as he recorded a one-off sitcom, Leaving Llanbobl last year. He also recorded a TV panel show pilot Ask Rhod Gilbert earlier this year, again featuring Greg Davies.
