Comedian Alexis Dubus has signed a publishing deal to write a book as his arrogant French alter-ego Marcel Lucont.
The character, who made his Edinburgh Fringe debut last year, is described as ‘France’s premier misanthropist and lover’.
His agents Objective Talent Management signed a deal with New Holland Publishers to write a collection of ‘Gallic grumblings about life as a Frenchman in the UK’, scheduled for release in summer 2010.
A source said: ‘From language lessons to little-known trivia and poems about tits, there’s sure to be something for everyone.’
