Making up something new...
The creators of Mock The Week and Whose Line Is It Anyway? are working on a new improvised TV show.
Hugh Dennis is hosting a pilot edition of Fast and Loose in London later this month to test how the format works – although this show will not be aired.
It promises to have performers spoofing TV genres and ‘playing characters in a series of improvised games suggested by the host and studio audience’, suggesting it owes more than a nod to the internationally successful Whose Line? format.
Lined up to appear are a host of top names from the live circuit including Greg Davies, Marek Larwood, Justin Edwards, Tim Key, Laura Solon;, Pippa Evans, Andi Oshi and Humphrey Ker from sketch group The Penny Dreadfuls.
The show was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, who now run their own production company, Angst, which makes Mock The Week. The pilot will be recorded at BBC Television Centre on May 27.
