Filming stops on Two And A Half Men

...as Charlie Sheen enters rehab

Production has been halted on Two And A Half Me, America’s most popular sitcom, after star Charlie Sheen went into rehan.

The actor’s publicist said he had sought treatment ‘as a preventative medicine’.

Eighteen of the 24 episodes of the current CBS series have been filmed, with all but three having already been broadcast.

Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, is in rehab as well.

The couple had a fight at their home in Aspen over Christmas, which resulted in the 44-year-old being arrested.

CBS issued a statement saying the network and the producers ‘support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment centre. We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter.

‘Production on Two And A Half Men will be temporarily suspended.’

The sitcom – which regularly attracts audiences of around 15million in the US – airs on Comedy Central in the UK.
