Fans turn up for Frankie Boyle gig – a year too soon

More than a dozen Frankie Boyle fans turned up to his gig in Preston this week – a full 12 months early.

The Mock The Week star announced details of his next tour, I Would Happily Punch Every One Of You In The Face, this summer – even though the dates are not until late 2010.

David Wilson, 46, turned up to the Preston Guildhall on Wednesday with this partner Dawn Rapson, 48 – but got suspicious when there were no crowds at the venue. It was only when they checked their tickets did they realise they said 2010 not 2009.

A security guard told them six other couples had made the mistake, and they ran into two similarly confused couples as they made their way back to their car.

Boyle has said this next tour will be his last.
