Dee's latest show

Jack Dee is set to front a new topical comedy show.

Panel show regular Sean Lock will also be a regular on the programme, Things Can Only Get Better, which will also feature celebrity guests.

Both comedians will be taking part in a dry run of the show in London tomorrow and next Wednesday in front of a small studio audience so they can test the format before a full studio recording.

Dee isn’t the only comedian to be working on a new topical programme, as Have I Got News For You regular Alexander Armstrong has a potential BBC One programme in the works.

Hat Trick Productions are making a not-for-broadcast pilot of The Monday Show, which will look ahead to the events of the coming week, later this month.
