Royles back for Red Nose Day
The Royle Family, French and Saunders and Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse will be among the comedy highlights of Red Nose Day on BBC One.
Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash’s sitcom is returning for a special edition, following the success of their Christmas Day comeback show, which attracted ten million viewers.
And this time the Royles will be rejoined by Ralf Little as hapless son Anthony – who was conspicuously absent from the festive special.
Meanwhile, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, who announced the end of their 30-year partnership last year, will reunite for a final sketch.
The duo have filmed a spoof version of the Mamma Mia! film, with Sienna Miller as the bride-to-be. Alan Carr, Matt Lucas and Joanna Lumley will also appear in the sketch.
