Unseen Cook interview to air

A previously unseen 40-year-old interview with Peter Cook is to be broadcast for the first time.

The interview, originally carried out by broadcaster Bernard Braden, will be aired on Five this autumn as part of a new series about 1968.

Braden recorded more than 350 conversations at his own expense, which were never broadcast. Five will also be showing interviews with Sean Connery, Enoch Powell, Robert Maxwell and Quentin Crisp as part of the 1968 Unseen series.

Also in the channel’s autumn schedules is a new travel show from Paul Merton, in which he travels around India. The five-part series follows the success of Paul Merton In China last year.
