Gavin & Stacey star lands radio show
Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones has landed her own radio show on BBC Radio Wales.The new 12-week show, Ruth Jones' Sunday Brunch, will also be the first programme to be made by her own Cardiff-based production company, Sutherland Productions.
The actress and writer, who plays Nessa,will host her own two-hour programme on Sunday mornings from 10am from October 5.
Jones said: ‘I'm really looking forward to it. It’ll be like having friends over the house for brunch.
‘We'll go through the papers, have a coffee, maybe a bacon bap or two and a nice chat, y’know, just relaxed and easy, easy like Sunday morning.’
Radio Wales Editor Sali Collins said: ‘We’re thrilled that Ruth has chosen to make her radio debut on BBC Radio Wales. Ruth is one of British comedy's brightest stars and she's Welsh to the core.’
