He will again be joined by Johns Bird and Fortune for the shows, provisionally titled Silly Money.
The hour-long episodes will look at the history of the current financial woes and the chances of a recovery.
Channel 4 commissioning editor Darren Smith said: ‘It’s something Rory’s extremely passionate about, but it’s an impenetrable subject to cover.
‘What’s good abourt Rory and his team is that they can make it funny and easy to understand.’
The series will go out on Sunday nights in the autumn.
