Phil Kay's motoring fine

Comic was driving without insurance

Scottish stand-up Phil Kay has been fined £500 for driving without insurance.

The 38-year-old comic was also given six points on his licence for driving his girlfriend Nicola Clark's car.

He was caught on the A9 in Morayshire last year following an accident, Glasgow’s Sunday Mail reports.

Nicola, 47, was fined £300 and also got six points at Nairn District Court. Prosecutors say she knew Kay was not insured.

Kay, who was named best stand-up at the 1994 British Comedy Awards, had his own Channel 4 series, Phil Kay Feels... in 1997.
