Comic blames wife's 'irrational behaviout'
Johnny Vegas’s divorce was finalised in London’s High Court today.The marriage was ended after the comedian claimed he could no longer live with his ex-wife Kitty Donnelley’s ‘irrational and unpredictable behaviour’.
In papers before the court, Vegas claimed he left her after she got drunk and became ‘aggressive and abusive’ to him.
Vegas, real name Michael Pennington, and Donnelly have lived apart for more than two years and had both agreed to a divorce. They have a four-year-old son together, also called Michael.
When the couple married in San Francisco in August 2002, after a five-month romance, Vegas sold the exclusive photos to Viz magazine for £1.
They separated a month later, and two attempts to reunite since then failed, the court papers said.
