Paramount to air Spitting Image reruns

Paramount Comedy has bought the rights to the Kenny Everett TV Show and Spitting Image.

The first series of the puppet satire, dating from 1984, will air on Paramount Comedy 2 from February 5, with Kenny Everett starting on February 4.

The broadcaster has also secured more modern comedy, including the new series of Modern Toss, which is expected to air in April, once it has premiered on Channel 4.

And a new series of the stand-up show Comedy Blue, hosted by Jason Byrne, starts next month.

Finally Chris Rock is to be the next subject of the channel’s occasional Up Close series. Phill Jupitus will interview him this Friday, for a half-hour programme due to go out in May, when the new, third series of his sitcom Everybody Hates Chris also starts.
