Still Game, still loved

Sitcom up for four Scottish Baftas

Still Game, the sitcom about two Glasgow pensioners, has been nominated for four Scottish Baftas.

The BBC Two show has been shortlisted for best comedy, while creators Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill are up for best writers.

Sanjeev Kohli has been nominated for best actor for his role as shopkeeper Navid Har in the show, and Jane McCarry is up for best actress for playing Isa Drennan.

Other shows competing the best comedy or entertainment category are Blow Out – a Comedy Lab sketch show plot featuring Susan Calman and Greg McHugh – and the BBC Scotland sitcom Dear Green Place, which also stars Still Game’s Ford Kiernan as a Glasgow parkkeeper.

The winners will be announced in Glasgow on November 18.
