Noel minds the Buzzcocks
The Boosh star, who appeared as a contestant last October, will be standing in for Bill Bailey when the pop quiz returns to BBC Two next month
Fielding said: ‘When Bill asked me to cover for him as team captain on Buzzcocks I was delighted to be his first choice.
‘Only after I agreed to do it did I realise that I was actually 104th on the list behind Andrew, his long-eared rabbit. Although, to be fair, Andrew is on fire at the moment.’
Phill Jupitus will remain captain of the opposing team, and Simon Amstell returns as host. This will be the show’s 21st series since 1996.
A new series of The Mighty Boosh starts on BBC Three next month.
