Yet another user-generated website
Yet another broadcaster has announced a website offering comedy clips from newcomers.Virgin Media has struck a deal with producers Hat Trick to create Comedy Flannel, which will invite users to upload their own content, rather like YouTube or several other comedy-specific sites that are in the pipeline.
But Hat Trick will also work with established talent and new comics to create clips in categories including animation, stunts, sketches, and stand-up.
The Comedy Flannel channel will be part of the virgin1.co.uk website that accompanies the new Virgin 1 TV channel.
The best content will be made into a TV show for Virgin 1, trade magazine Broadcast reports.
