BBC2 unveils autumn line-up

...with Dee, Fry and Coogan

A second series of Jack Dee’s Lead Balloon, a sketch show for Peter Serafinowicz and a Stephen Fry documentary on HIV have all been unveiled today.

The shows are all part of BBC Two’s autumn season, that also includes a second series of Steve Coogan’s sitcom Saxondale.

Fry will follow up his documentary on manic depression with a personal look at HIV and the effect it has had on his friends.

He will also interview George Michael, Erasure's Andy Bell and Scissor Sisters star Ana Matronic about the subject; and will also undertake an HIV test himself.

In comedy, Lead Balloon makes the leap from BBC Four to BBC Two for its second series, while Jocelyn Jee Esien’s sketch show Little Miss Jocelyn moves over from BBC Three.

Look Around You star Serafinowicz has landed his own show, described as an ‘off-the-wall sketch show…in which the likes of Al Pacino mingle with his own quirky creations, such as impressively incompetent private investigator Brian Butterfield’.

The programme also features such spoofs as ‘television’s most futile game shows’, including Heads Or Tails and Which Hand Is It In?, and offers “celebrity” interviews on O! News.
