Ronni loses her figures
Just 2.1 million viewers tuned in to last night’s edition of Ronni Ancona & Co, according to the overnight ratings, exactly half of the audience for the first episode the previous week.
The ratings slump meant that just under ten per cent of the TV audience at 9.30pm were watching BBC One – fewer than any other terrestrial channel.
On average, that slot attracts 5.2 million viewers to BBC One, so last night’s figures will be disappointing to corporation executives trying to forge a new reputation for comedy on the flagship channel.
