Chat on, Tommy
The former MSP will interview a range of comedians and other guests at his nightly Gilded Balloon show, as well as talking about his colourful and controversial career.
The married left-winger won a high-profile libel case against the News Of The World last year when it claimed he had visited a swingers’ club, based on minutes of a political meeting that Sheridan successfully argued were inaccurate. He has also been jailed twice while campaigning against nuclear submarines.
The show is being promoted by Bound and Gagged Comedy, which is also bringing a string of comics to the festival, including Andrew Maxwell, Lucy Porter, Stephen K Amos and last year’s if.comeddie winner Phil Nichol.
The full Fringe programme is out on June 7, though other shows are expected to be announced before then.
Sheridan also has a weekly show on Edinburgh radio station Talk107.
