Russell Brand, Simon Amstell and Harry Hill have all been shortlisted for a Royal Television Society Award.
Hill and Amstell are up for best entertainment performance alongside Friday Night Project stars Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr; while Brand is up for the breakthrough award for his Channel 4 show Russell Brand’s Got Issues.
In the best sitcom category, Green Wing, Extras and The Royle Family: The Queen Of Sheba will battle it out.
The creators of Green Wing and The Royle Family are up for best comedy writers alongside Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly for their BBC Three show Pulling.
Lee Mack and Andrew Collins have been nominated in the breakthrough category for offscreen talent for writing the BBC One sitcom Not Going Out.
And the shortlist in the best comedy performance category is Catherine Tate, Stephen Merchant and Kevin Bishop, for Star Stories.
Among the non-comedy categories, Michael Sheen is up for best actor for his portrayal of Kenneth Williams in the BBC Four drama Fantabulosa!; while Stephen Fry has been nominated for best documentary for his programme The Secret Life Of The Manic Depressive.
The winners are announced on March 13.
