Only Fools prequel planned
Only Fools And Horses writer John Sullivan is working on a prequel to his hit show – which could feature David Jason.The show, called Once Upon A Time In Peckham, will focus on Del Boy’s early life.
And, according to The Sun, Sir David could play a present-day Del in flash-forward scenes, or possibly make a cameo as an elderly relative.
Asked about the plans, the 66-year-old actor said: ‘Ah, you’ll have to ask John Sullivan. I’m afraid I can’t speak about that — yet.”
The paper quoted an unnamed source saying: They’ve really laid Only Fools to rest, but John’s had a twinkle in his eye about the prequel for a few years now.’
And a BBC insider said: ‘We’re looking forward to seeing the scripts.’
Meanwhile, Sullivan has been working on a Christmas special of Only Fools spin-off, Green, Green Grass, charting the lives of Boycie and Marlene in rural Wales.
