Evans announces warm-up shows

Lee Evans has announced eight low-key gigs next month to prepare for a visit to the States.

The warm-up gigs, all in the South-East, come ahead of a two-week run in New York later in May.

The US shows promise ‘feature plenty of stuff from recent tours and some new material’. Evans has performed stand-up in America before, but he’s best known there for his movie roles.

Meanwhile in the UK, sales of the DVD of Evans’s last tour, XL, have passed the 900,000 mark.
