Going to the dogs
The widow of Scottish comedy legend Rikki Fulton has left £800,000 to an animal charity.
Kate Fulton left the bulk of her £1.1million estate to the Glasgow branch of the Scottish SPCA – the Scottish equivalent to England and Wales’s RSPCA.
The Scotch and Wry star himself was an animal-lover, and at his funeral last year, mourners were asked to give cash to the charity instead of flowers.
The couple never had children in their 37-year marriage, but owned a succession of West Highland Terriers.
In her will, Kate also left the rights to her husband’s work to close friend and fellow comedian Tony Roper, including the rights to his best loved comic creation, morose minister Reverend I.M. Jolly.Published: 1 Nov 2005
