Grumpy Old Women to tour

Jenny Eclair is to go on tour with a live version of the TV show Grumpy Old Women.

The Perrier-winning comic has written the stage show with Judith Holder, who produced the BBC Two series, with comedian Richard Herring acting as script editor.

She will appear with Fascinating Aida’s Dillie Keane and Birds Of A Feather’s Linda Robson in the brief tour, which plays just seven nights in five venues.

A spokesman for co-producers Avalon said: ‘Grumpy Old Women Live is a celebration of the pre, peri and post menopausal female condition, be it the curse of catalogues, daylight yobbery, or “invisible woman syndrome” - basically anything that makes you want to shake your rolling pin rather than your booty.’

The show is at the Cheltenham Everyman on November 3-5; Nottingham Plahouse on the 6th; Bolton Albert Halls on the 8th; Crawley’s Hawth Theatre on the 11th and the Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry, on the 13th.
