Papal bull...

Win Popetown on DVD

The controversial animated show Popetown, which the BBC dropped before it was even screened, is being released on DVD on Monday - and Chortle has five copies to give away to readers.

Featuring the voices of Ruby Wax, Matt Lucas, Bob Mortimer and Kevin Eldon, the Vatican-based series was never screened in Britain for fear of offending Catholics.

Wax, who voices the Pope, said: ‘He’s someone who’s been indulged a lot so is in child mode all the time, so he’s screaming like a seven- year-old who if he doesn’t get his own way.

‘He will burn people and bite their fingers and tear their genitals off - but he has a big heart. I think he’s funny, I know a lot of people like that, myself included. It’s hilarious to have this Pope as this small brat.

‘I don’t see anything nice about him. I love that he hates Japanese people  because in the episode ‘Static’ he’s running round on the carpet on his bike trying to get up enough static electricity to harm these Japanese tourists which is hilarious.’

The title, released by Revolver Entertainment, sells at £19.99 – but we have five to give away.

To stand a chance of winning, just answer the following question by September 12, when we will be selecting the winners at random from all correct answers received.

Good luck!
