Skinner lands Emmerdale role... sort of

Frank Skinner is to make a guest appearance on Emmerdale – or at least his voice will.

The 48-year-old comic will be the mystery voice on the fictional local radio station Hotten FM in a competition Val Lambert (Charlie Hardwick) is determined to win.

Skinner will appear in four episodes of the ITV1 soap from August 31.

He said: ‘I've watched the show since the days of Amos Brearley and Mr Wilkes so, even though I don't actually appear on screen, it's really exciting to be a tiny part of the Emmerdale legend.’

Producer Kath Beedles, said: ‘We had heard that Frank was a fan of the show and were delighted that he was available to record this part.’
