Razorlight join the Boosh
Rockers Razorlight are to make a cameo appearance in the next series of The Mighty Boosh.
Their typically surreal scene marks the acting debut for the fast-rising Golden Touch band, who appeared at Live8 and Glastonbury this year.
Drummer Andy Burrow said meeting comedians Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt was a bizarre experience.
‘We got on set and they both had these insane costumes on and were painted up,’ he said.
‘There were no words in our scene but it was set in a desert. We have got metal detectors and are looking for something, but until I actually see it in context I don't exactly know.
‘We got nervous - it was our first acting role, but it was great. They were so lovely.’
The band, who are said to be big fans of the show, have reportedly asked Fielding and Barratt to make a guest appearance on the follow-up to their Up All Night album.
The second series of The Mighty Boosh starts on BBC Three on July 26 – but the episodes will be available to download from the BBC website seven days before they are broadcast.
