New sitcom from Two Pints team

The creators of Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps have written a new sitcom for BBC Three.

Sheridan Smith, who played Janet in Two Pints, will also star in the follow-up, called Grownups.

And while the original revolved around characters in their late teens and early twenties, her character here, Michelle, is 26.

The BBC says she is ‘"really freakin' out" about her singledom and is in a running battle between career and partying... nowadays there are too many decisions, like whether to watch the Channel Four news or Cribs on MTV.’

Though set in Manchester’s bohemian Northern Quarter, the series will be filmed in London’s Television Centre this summer.
