Galaxy's biggest star
Christian Slater is to appear in the final radio episode of the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
The Hollywood star will appear as John Watson, also known as Wonko the Sane, a character who lives in an inside-out house, in the Radio 4 show.
Although The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy started as a radio series, these new adaptations come from Douglas Adams's final two books in the franchise, Goodbye And Thanks For All The Fish and Mostly Harmless.
The series begins on May 3, just days after the Hollywood film version, starring Martin Freeman as hero Arthur Dent, opens on April 28.
The radio production also feature the voice of Adams as Agrajag, a part he recorded before his death in 2001. Cast members also include Stephen Fry and Jackie Mason.
Slater, 35, is setting down roots in Britain ever since starring alongside a cast of comedians in the Edinburgh Fringe production of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest last year.
