Cleese rolls

One-man show ahoy!

John Cleese is to take a one-man comedy show on tour around the world.

Called Seven Ways To Skin An Ocelot, the show will preview in New Zealand in November and December following an invitation to perform there.

After that, he will rewrite the show and tour it in California and Australia early in 2006.

The tour was announced in the monthly newsletter Cleese sends out to members of his website.

It said: “Although we refer to it as a ‘one-man show’ it will also feature various Cleese underlings, flunkeys, retainers, daughters, side-kicks, minions, catspaws, and cronies (and probably a few hangers-on too), so it should really be called a ‘several-person show.

“[Cleese] has no idea what the show will be like yet, but he and daughter Camilla have written the first four minutes - and first impressions are that the show is going to be very, very, violent.”

No mention was made of any possible British dates.
