Best of British
Little Britain has been nominated for two TV Baftas.
It is up for best comedy series, while Matt Lucas and David Walliams have been shortlisted for best comedy performance.
Nighty Night and Green Wing are also up for two awards each, both for best sitcom and for their stars Julia Davis and Tamsin Greig respectively.
The best comedy performance category is completed by Rory Bremner, while Black Books and The Vicar Of Dibley Christmas Specials are also up for best sitcom.
For best comedy, Little Britain is up against The Catherine Tate Show, Harry Hill’s TV Burp and The Mark Steel Lectures.
Paul Merton has been nominated for best entertainment performance for his role on Have I Got News For You?, where he is up against Stephen Fry for QI, Ant & Dec for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and Lily Savage creator Paul O’Grady for his daytime chat show.
QI and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! are also nominated for best entertainment series, alongside Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and Strictly Come Dancing.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in London on April 17, hosted by Graham Norton.
