Murray ousted in first show

Al Murray has been voted off Celebrity Fame Academy – before the show even got properly started.

The Pub Landlord was thrown out of the very first show, before receiving any tuition, over his rendition of Stuck In The Middle With You

Despite his recent reality TV success in Hell’s Kitchen, BBC1 viewers decided they would rather not hear him sing, and he became the first of 13 celebrities to be voted out.

Comic Jenny Eclair and impressionist Jon Culshaw had also been up for eviction, but Eclair was saved by the judges Culshaw saved by fellow contestants.

The next eviction in this second series in aid of Comic Relief will be on Wednesday before the contestants move into the Fame Academy house for the nex ten days.

The contestants are comics Adrian Edmondson and Gina Yashere, Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, EastEnders actress Kim Medcalf, Coronation Street actress Debra Stephenson, Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman, Monarch Of The Glen actress Dawn Steele, Casualty star Christopher Colquhoun, DIY SOS host Nick Knowles, Top Of The Pops presenter Reggie Yates.
