...And action!
Spaced star Simon Pegg is to parody American action films in his next movie.
The 34-year-old comic has already been commissioned to make a follow-up to Shaun Of The Dead.
But he said he did not want to tackle the zombie genre again as the possibilities have been exhausted.
In an interview with Sun readers he said: “I don't think we're going to do another zombie movie, to be honest. We were toying with the idea of From Dusk Till Shaun, but have decided it would be best to move on.
“We've already said what we wanted to say about zombie movies, and there's always a danger of spoiling a film retroactively by doing a sequel.
“Our next project has already been commissioned and it's going to be an action film, possibly about a British policeman.
“But it's such early days at the moment it's difficult to say any more than that.
“We've chosen action because we want to take another typically American genre and do it in a British way, with a lot of comedy in there.”
Pegg also gave a glimmer of hope for fans of Spaced, after previously ruling out another series.
He said: “There won't be another series at the moment… but who knows what will happen in the future – never say never. It would be a shame to draw a line under Spaced.”
He was speaking to promote the DVD release of Shaun Of The Dead, which is one of the top three bestselling titles on Amazon. Click here to order.
