Paramount to air post-Fringe tour

This autumn’s Edinburgh and Beyond stand-up tour is to be televised on the Paramount Comedy Channel.

The annual tour is a showcase of four acts from agent Avalon’s stable, launching with a gig at the Fringe then taking in nine more cities in October and November.

The line-up is Chris Addison, Dan Antopolski, Craig Campbell and Tony Law; with Pub Landlord Al Murray, pictured, hosting the TV show.

Tony Orsten, Paramount UK's managing director, said: “This is the first time we have televised stand-up comedy performances from The Edinburgh Festival."

Avalon’s television arm is producing the broadcast, which will be recorded on October 29 from London's Bloomsbury Theatre, for Paramount 2.
