Jim to quit Britain
Jim Davidson has confirmed that he's quitting the UK for Dubai.
The comic says he's fed up of living in Britain, so is putting his farmhouse up for sale and emigrating.
But before he leaves, he will film four stand-up shows for TV.
The 50-year-old comic, who has always traded on his patriotism, told chat show host Des O'Connor: "I just want a change and I never thought I'd get to that stage. I've done a lot of travelling up and down the country.
"I'm going to live in the desert and I can't come back. I can go to Dubai and start again.
"I could change my religion to Muslim and have four wives. Mind you I'd have four mothers-in-law if I did that."
Davidson's recent stand-up shows have been dogged with controversy, most notably after he refused to perform to one audience because of the number of wheelchair users in the front row.
