A bid for fame
Two female comics are auctioning off an exclusive performance of their Edinburgh show on eBay.
Carri Munn and Karin Diamond are trying to offset the estimated £5,000 cost of their fringe show with what is believed to be the first auction of a live performance... as well as drumming up vital publicity.
The Welsh double act say they will go anywhere to perform - as long as the winning bidder stumps up the cost of travel.
They said: "We will happily perform their show to a syndicate of tribesmen in the mountains of Peru, or high over the Andes for Dickie Branson in his beautiful balloon. This could be eBay's most unconventional auction to date.
They describe their show, to be peformed at the CO2 venue in Edinburgh, as "in the running for this year,s Perrier Award for Comedy - as indeed is every one of the hundreds of comedy shows on the Fringe.
In the details of the auction, the pair add: "Bidders should also be under no illusions that An Evening With Munn and Diamond is only an evening, it will not extend into the night (Nobody could afford that!)"
Bidding, which ends on Sunday, stands at £78 at the time of writing. Click here for details.
