'Prat' Joly mugged by a child

Dom Joly has been mugged by a child who taunted him with his own catchphrases.

The Trigger Happy TV star lost his wallet after the youngster approached him and asked for his autograph.

Joly, 36, said the theft in Kensington, West London, on Saturday left him feeling like "a right prat".

He told the Mirror: "He asked me whether I was that bloke of the telly who shouts. I puffed up with self-effacing pride and admitted that yes, indeed, I was.

"He asked me for an autograph and I fished out my wallet to get a piece of paper, whereupon he snatched it and legged it down the street.

"This wouldn't have been too bad if he hadn't been laughing and shouting, 'I've nicked it. I've bloody nicked his wallet', quoting one of my own sketches rather more successfully than the original."
