Vegas on video
Johnny Vegas is to film his first video at the Edinburgh fringe.
The comic is set to spend a couple of weeks filming footage at the festival, capturing the flavour of the event.
Vegas is not scheduled to perform at the fringe this year, but suggested that he would take to the stage so his performance could be caught on camera.
Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield's Toby Foster Show, he said: "It's not a normal stand-up video. It's what goes on in Edinburgh - an insight into the ups and downs of playing the festival."
Vegas has only performed one major gig this year - at the Glasgow Comedy Festival - and says he will take to the road again once he has written a new stand-up show. He said: "I don't want to re-sell all the old stuff."
He had previously siad he wanted to ease back on life on the road after marrying interior designer Kitty Donnelly last summer.
He told Foster that his wife was getting fed up with the snipes about their marriage.
"Kitty's sick of it, all that Beauty and The Beast rubbish," he said. "They only see my stage persona, they don't know the real tender me."
While he was on air, Vegas took a call from fellow St Helen's comic Bernie Clifton, who had been listening at home. Vegas told him: "You were the wind beneath my wings."
