Dangerfield revives hit film
American stand-up Rodney Dangerfield is to remake the film that marked the highest point in his career.
He has signed a deal with MGM to remake the 1986 comedy Back To School - but he won't be reprising his starring role.
Dangerfield, who underwent brain surgery earlier this year ahead of a heart operation, owned some of the rights to the film, and will be credited as a producer on the remake.
The 81-year-old is also likely to make a cameo appearance, Hollywood journal Variety reports.
The original - about an obnoxious businessman who enrolls in college to encourage his son to go - grossed more than $91 million on its original release.
