A Whacking great tour

Dave Gorman to hit the road

Dave Gorman has announced that he will be taking his latest stage show on a 63-date tour following the Edinburgh festival.

His Googlewhack Adventure premiered at the Melbourne Comedy festival in March, where it was nominated for a Barry Award, and is all set to be one of the highlights of this year's Fringe.

In the show, Gorman retraces his steps around the world in search of elusive Googlewhacks - combinations of two words that, when fed into the Internet's top search engine, return just one result.

His travels include playing table tennis with a nine-year-old boy in a Boston basement, having three snakes place on his head in Los Angeles and travelling in a car with a gun toting dot-com millionaire en-route to Mexico.

The tour kicks off in Norwich on September 29, ending up in Birmingham on December 14. Click here for full dates.

Gorman said: "I can't wait to start whacking the nation's Google. I travelled over 140,000km on my Googlewhack Adventure, so touring should be child's play by comparison. "

"It's fair to say that, when asked which town has the best audiences, I've always said it was a close call between Bracknell, Sevenoaks, Cheltenham, Reading, Cambridge, Lowestoft, Nottingham, Brighton, Dartford, Swindon, Manchester, Catford, Stoke on Trent, St Albans, Barnstaple, Cardiff, Belfast, Derby, Weston Super Mare, Aylesbury, Exeter, Yeovil, Felixstowe, Canterbury, Bournemouth, Coventry, Darlington, Liverpool, Bolton, Leeds, Hayes, Southampton, Bedford, Edinburgh, Halifax, Aberystwyth, Watford, Folkestone, Harrow, Croydon and Birmingham.

"By the end of this tour, I should have a definitive answer."
